On Saturday, July 11, at 9 a.m. Pacific Time, more than 1,500 people will gather in Carlsbad, California for the Chopra Center’s Second Annual Global Meditation for Compassion. With Ustream, the event will allow thousands of additional viewers around the world to join in via Deepak Chopra’s Global Meditation for World Peace channel.
Last year’s event set the Guinness World record for the largest online meditation gathering in history, attracting more than 140,000 viewers from around the world. Organizers expect this year’s event to approach the 500,000-viewer mark. The Second Annual Global Meditation for Compassion will feature appearances by Chopra as well as next-generation thought leader Gabrielle Bernstein and CNN en Español anchor Ismael Cala.
