The West Michigan Black Sox is a travel baseball club located in Kalamazoo, Michigan USA.
Black Sox nation continues to grow since it's inception in 2011. The league was founded by Bill Hanna, an area baseball coach, who realized the need for higher competitive baseball in the region.
The Black Sox philosophy is centered around teaching players the benefits of team play, hard work, setting goals while developing themselves to compete at higher levels of play; whether that is high school, college or beyond.
The Black Sox made their first appearance during the 2012 season fielding 8u and 9u teams. The 9u team quickly improved their standings to win the first Annual Black Sox Bash, then after a great season finished a strong 5th in State play. While the 8u Black Sox started off their season finishing second in the Grand Valley Lakers Tourney and ending a strong season with a win at Penn Park. Black Sox teams continue to earn the respect of numerous organizations while forging new friendships.
