The 1st Southeast Asian Swimming Championships 2012 aims to foster relationships among the Southeast Asia aquatic community and to provide an opportunity to engage in yearly competition at the Southeast Asian level. The biennial event aims to attract the best aquatic athletes to compete during the non-SEA Games year in the areas of swimming, water polo, diving and synchronised swimming.
