    Apple Education Learning Series

    This series is presented by the Apple Education Leadership and Learning teams. Each video is designed to help educators use Apple products and their built-in features to enable remote learning for all students.

    As a follow-up to the series, educators can also participate in virtual conferences led by Apple Professional Learning Specialists. Visit the virtual conferences schedule to find events in your time zone. Each virtual conference will run for approximately 45 minutes and will provide an opportunity for educators to engage in dialogue with our teams about the content provided in each video.  *(The main virtual conference site is available in English only.     Prepare Resources for Remote Learning

    This video will help educators learn how to get up and running for remote learning with iPad. We’ll explore ways to access school resources and find apps that support remote learning. Tips will include using iPad built-in features to scan documents and stay organized, using Markup to annotate teacher materials and student work, getting set up with Voice Memos, and more.

    Create and Share Presentations and Demos

    Presenting information in compelling ways is even more important when you’re not able to be face-to-face with your students. In this video we’ll show you how to use iPad built-in features to create demos and instructional videos and share them with your colleagues and students. Using Keynote, or any presentation tool, you’ll learn how to record content and create demos on iPad for use with your students.

    Create Engaging Videos with Clips

    Clips is a free app that lets educators and students easily create and share fun and engaging videos. We’ll show you how educators can use Clips to create instructional videos for exploring new skills and ideas — and how students can make videos to share what they’ve learned.

    Connect and Collaborate Remotely

    When educators and learners are not in the same room, strategies for communication are essential for continuing the learning process and collaborating with colleagues. In this video you’ll learn how to stay connected, collaborate and coach your students remotely with tools like Pages, Numbers, Keynote, FaceTime, and Messages.

    Accessibility: Improve Reading Fluency

    Every iPad includes built-in assistive features that complement your vision, hearing, motor skills, learning, and literacy. In this video, you’ll learn how features such as Speak Screen, Safari Reader, and Speech Controller support reading fluency, comprehension, and composition for every learner.

    IT Spotlight #1: Prepare Devices for Learners

    Apple tools and services make it easy to manage devices and configure them for remote learning. In this video IT audiences will learn about essential tasks and resources needed to set up and manage Apple devices. Topics include selecting a deployment model, enrolling devices in a mobile device management solution, and deploying core apps to students.     IT Spotlight #2: Personalize Devices for Learners

    Apple devices can be managed remotely to create a personal learning experience tailored to address individual needs. In this video, IT audiences will learn how Apple School Manager works with a mobile device management solution to secure devices, facilitate communication and collaboration, and personalize iPad to support diverse learning styles and requirements.     Increase Productivity with AssistiveTouch

    AssistiveTouch is a built-in accessibility feature that lets you adapt the iPad Multi-Touch screen to your physical needs. In this video, you’ll learn how to customize gestures and make other features accessible with just a touch from the AssistiveTouch menu. Increase productivity with new ways to search, take screenshots, and work with multiple apps.

    Create Interactive Worksheets with Pages

    It’s easy to turn traditional worksheets into fun and creative learning assignments. In this video you’ll learn how to take a built-in template in Pages for Mac and quickly customize it with placeholders for text, photos, and even a personalized video from you to guide your students. You’ll see how to share this new assignment as a template which lets students easily customize it with their own content.

    Promote Active Learning Through Creativity

    Nurturing creativity with students helps them develop skills needed for lifelong, active learning. In this video, you’ll learn how to engage students in creative learning activities using iPad built-in features like Camera to capture images, and Markup to personify an object or highlight historical clues. Students can bring these objects together using Pages for a writing assignment, or Numbers to create a science report, and easily add audio recordings, drawings, and more.

    Improve Reading and Writing Skills with Mac

    Every Mac has built-in communication features that support learning. In this video, you’ll learn about helpful macOS features that support reading comprehension and writing composition. Using Safari Reader, students can improve reading skills by reducing visual clutter, and use Text to Speech for auditory reinforcement. In Pages, students can improve reading and writing skills with audio recordings to reflect on what they’ve learned, and use Dictation to focus on the writing process.

    Create Instructional Resources with Mac

    With Mac, teachers have everything they need to create engaging instructional resources. In this video, you’ll learn how to easily record instructional videos using Photo Booth, and quickly capture images or recordings of anything on your screen using Screenshot. You’ll then see how to bring all these resources together in Keynote to build a creative assignment that can be shared as a fun video with your students.

    Guide Learning with Schoolwork

    Schoolwork is an iPad app that helps educators guide learning, distribute and collect assignments, keep an eye on student progress, and collaborate one-on-one with students in real time — from anywhere. Schoolwork helps students organize assignments by due date and class, start assigned activities in apps, and track their own progress. In this video, you’ll learn how to send out learning resources, collaborate with students on a shared document, and view their progress as they complete an assignment.
