This is what most people miss both mom and dad take care of the young...Even before they hatch dad still takes care of mom sitting on the eggs which is a full time job. The only time our female leaves the nesting box while sitting on eggs is to go for a SH**, then she returns to the eggs. Dad even feeds mom so she does not need to leave the eggs.
