SL10 - Better Work Program - Women
There are more than 35 million people working in garment factories around the world. More than half of them are women. IFC in partnership with the International Labour Organization, has created a unique partnership called the Better Work Program. The program is present in over 1,000 garment factories in eight countries across the world. 80% of the workers in these factories are women. In this SmartLesson in Video, we share the lessons learned as we have worked with the garment factories to help women understand their rights and harness their power to realize those rights.
