9:15 am Welcoming Remarks
9:30 am Lightening Talks: Current Scholarship
The symposium will convene students, archivists, scholars and curators of women’s military history—as well as veterans and active members of the military—to share their work, reflect on the past and future of women’s military history, and develop a way forward for a more inclusive community across diverse institutions and audiences. With this symposium, we seek to explore knowledge and also build connections and further foundations for the broader community of interest.
This symposium is organized by the National Museum of American History, National Postal Museum, and National Portrait Gallery with support from the Smithsonian American Women’s History Initiative.
