Lessons from Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project
Services delivery in low capacity and high poverty regions has always been a major bottleneck in achieving developmental outcomes. In Bihar, more than 2.7 million households are mobilized into Self-help Groups and their federations. This e-learning presents how innovative approaches, such as, developing good quality human resources within the community, availability of resident consultant to provide just in time assistance to clients, placement and retention of young professionals were used to achieve higher order development outcomes.
